Privacy & cookies
This website collects as little personal data as possible. This page explains what is collected, why, and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible
This website is run by Jan Internet B.V., Amsterdam, the Netherlands (KVK 87861291). Questions about privacy can be sent to jan@janinternet.com.
Cookies
Necessary. Your cookie choice is stored in your browser, so the site does not ask again on every visit. It is kept for about six months, after which you are asked again. If you switch between English and Dutch, that choice is stored in your browser too. Neither is used for tracking.
Analytics, only with your permission. If you accept, the site uses Google Analytics via Firebase to see which pages are visited and how the site is used. This sets _ga cookies. The data is used only to improve the site, never for advertising, and advertising features are switched off. With the same permission, Firebase Performance Monitoring measures how fast the pages load, so I can keep the site quick. It stores an anonymous installation ID in your browser. If you decline, neither is loaded at all.
You can change your choice at any time:
Contact
If you email or call, your details are used only to answer your question and are not shared with others. If you book an appointment, the booking is handled by Google Calendar.
Hosting
This website is hosted on Firebase Hosting (Google). As with any website, the hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages.
Security
I scan this website for security issues every month. Found a vulnerability anyway? Please report it to security@janinternet.com. More details are in the security.txt.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data by emailing jan@janinternet.com. If you are not satisfied with how your data is handled, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
